ABSTRACT
Low Weight Birth Baby (LWBB) can be prevented by antenatal care (ANC) services. There are many risk factors that can influence the health condition of pregnant women and the infant. In response to decrease neonatal rate, the researcher has expanded practice site location from pregnant women in RSUD Cibabat Cimahi. The purpose: to determine relationship between blood pressure and the level of haemoglobine of pregnant women and the evidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW). Design: Explanatory study design with retrospective approach and case control method has been applied. Control group has been chosen accidentally. Data have been analyzed by Rank Spearman`s test and Chi Square as well as odd ratio. Sample: all population has become the sample. Results and Recommendation: analyses found variable that has relationships with LBW were blood pressure of mother (p=0,001; OR: 27) and level of haemoglobine of pregnant women (p=0,002; RO: 64). The parity has been found as a confounding factor (p=0,000). In order to eliminate the confounding factor, the stratification Mantel-Hanzel analysis has been done. This analysis found correlation of blood pressure (hypertension) of pregnant women with LWBB with value of OR : 38; then correlation between level of haemoglobulin with LWMM with level of hemoglobin with value of RO: 61.
Key words: LWBB, blood pressure, level of haemoglobin, and pregnant women
