ABSTRACT
Dengue Haemorhagic Fever ( DHF ) is one of tropical desease, cause worried for Indonesia people because may lead mortality rapidly. DHF tendens to increase every years in West Java, mainly endemic area at Kota Cimahi with insiden high rate was 366,97 0 /00 of population. Prevention effort in Cibeureum Health Centre, suggest health education that need family and community support. Aim of health education was increased knowledge in prevention desease. The purpose of study to examine
family empowerment through family education in DHF desease prevention. The quasi experiment study randomized with pre test – post test group design, examine 52 respondens as control group and 52 respondens as treatment group. The treatment group treated by 3 times along 3 weeks. The data analysis was used T test dependent and independent. The result were not different between knowledge, attitude, and psikomotor DHF prevention, before treatment both control group and treatment group ( P value = 0.835, 0.952, and 1.00 ). After treatment there were significant deferences in knowledge, attitude, and psikomotor. Both control group and treatment group ( P value = 0.00 ). The conclusion study health education was influenced of knowledge, attitude, and psikomotor DHF prevention. Recommendation, for health centre should give continuing health education through health promotion program.
